When the "Best Two Years" Are Over

They've now been home for several weeks.  When I think about them, I wonder if perhaps there is one missionary who still occasionally speaks a little Tex-Mex... if another's first full day without a companion by his side was strangely awkward...  if yet another's first day without the perfectly planned daily schedule may have seemed to be a day without purpose... and then I wonder if (and hope that) perhaps, they are all now busy applying what they learned while serving a mission into their dreams and aspirations for the future.
Prepared or not, the time eventually comes when a full-time missionary returns home. Some have said it's one of the hardest transitions that they have ever made, while others have seemingly little adjusting to do. President Trayner and I express gratitude and love to each missionary as they leave our little Texas triangle. We pray that each missionary will continue to be "nourished by the good word of God" (Moro. 6:4) until we meet again!
